Last year, Prague's main event played an incredible 584 participants and the first place prize of € 682,000 finally scooped Czech representative Jan Škampa. His final table battle attracted huge amount of his supporters and that night wil always stay huge in Czech poker history.

Last year the tournament coincided with another major European event, so this year we expect the field exceeds last year's numbers.
The festival begins on Sunday by supersatelite with buy-in € 500+ € 50 (one rebuy). The main evet starts on Monday and their seats at the biggest local tournament will take Czech representative of Team PokerStars Pro, Martin Hruby, who will fight for his first major tournament victory after ending up second in EPT Vienna. EPT Prague Main Event will also not miss Ondrej Goetz, Filip Nechansky, Lukas Nemec, defending champion Jan Škampa and his fellow Team Full Tilt Pro Martin Kabrhel.

More than 200 players already qualified on PokerStars so they will join the Team PokerStars Pro members; Bertrand ElkY Grospellier, Dario Minieri, Liv Boeree and Fatima Moreira de Melo are one of those, who already confirmed their attendance.

Besides the main event a massive number of side events will be held and players can choose between No Limit Holdem, Heads-Up event with a buy-in € 3.000, ladies event, the PLO as well as popular evening turbo. In Saturday, the Dec 18th  € 10,000 County of the Year freeroll will take place this time dedicated to all Czechs who cashed on one of the events last season.

In addition to a wide range of tournaments there will also be a non stop cash game action in NLHE Cash Games, the PLO and other game options. 

The organizers will take a large number of security measures to both tournaments and cash games to avoid any fraud that occurred in recent months in other European tournaments.
