Max Pescatory win event n.24
Image The Italian poker pro Max Pescatori got his second World Series of Poker bracelet, winning the $2,500 Pot-Limit Holdem/Omaha event n.24.

Max topped a final table where waiting was also the five-time bracelet winner Allen Cunningham, who finished in fourth place. The “Italian Pirate” won the first prize of $246,509.

Pescatori is nicknamed “the Italian Pirate.” He got his clever name because he often wears a bandana at the poker table and looks very much like a swashbuckler.

The final hand of the tournament: Pescatory make a raise from the button of 72,000 and Kloeckner call. The flop  K-J-3 with two diamonds. Kloeckner check-call the 110,000 bet from Pescatori. When the 2h open on the turn, Kloeckner again check,  Pescatori bets enough to set his opponent all-in, Kloeckner calls.., Pescatori and his Italian supporters in the audience jump into celebration.

Pescatori also won a $2,500 buy-in no-limit hold'em event at the WSOP in 2006.
