Image The fifth annual of PokerStars European Poker Tour London in Grosvenor Voctoria Casino started yesterday with day 1A.

The fifth edition of this major stop on the EPT schedule was initially capped at 500 entries, but that didn't stop 47 alternates from signing up before the end of level 2 today. Four additional tables had to be brought onto the floor.

A lot of well-known pros were present in  Grosvenor Victoria  Casino yesterday..., and they will fight for their part of big prize pool and for a coveted gold bracelet. In London, PokerStars will be represented by its team members, as Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso, Alex Kravchenko or Chad Brown are set to join the field.

At the end of the night, the 80 players remaining bagged up their chips, and they will take tomorrow off as Day 1B arrives for their first day of play. The tournament has already broken the record for the largest prize pool ever in this event with the players that have pre-registered tomorrow... 

There are five preliminary events on schedule, followed by a main event with guaranteed prize pool 1,000,000 pounds. In addition a first high-roller event in history of EPT will commence Oct 5th and run through Oct 6th and the four day event with buy-in 20,000(pounds) will conclude on Sunday Oct 6th.
