EPT Barcelona started its day 1
Image  Season V of  PokerStars.net Euroepan Poker Tour started in Barcelona with 292 in the field.  Barcelona Open attracted many of well-know players such as Annette Obrestad, Greg Raymer, Robert and Michael Mizrachi, winners of EPT events Glen Chorny and Rueben Peters.

Two of the World Series Of  Poker Main Event finalist, who will compete for the title of the world champion in november David "Chino" Rheem  and Scott Montgomery also joined the field.

Rheem eliminated several opponents during the day, but he finally finished as a short stack. Among the players, who didn´t make it to the day 2 were Annette Obrestad, Greg Raymer, David Williams, Vicky Coren and Michael Mizrachi, when his top set failed after an opponent got a flush on river. 

At the end of a day Michael Murra finished as the chip leader, followed by Nichlas Mattson, Glen Chorny and EPT champion Jason Mercier
